The idea

Neither side has to move first

Every deal between two people who have not dealt with each other before starts with the same unfair choice. Either the buyer pays and hopes the goods arrive, or the seller ships and hopes the money follows.
Rbcpay removes that choice. The buyer pays Rbcpay rather than the seller. The seller is told the funds are secured and ships. The buyer checks what arrived. Only then is the seller paid, and the payment cannot be charged back.

What this means for you

Set up your account in four steps

1

Create your account

Register with your name, email and country. Choose whether the account is for you personally or for a business.

2

Verify your identity

Identity verification applies to both sides of every transaction. It is what makes it hard for anyone to operate anonymously.

3

Complete your profile

Add your legal name, telephone and address so payments and documents can be matched to you.

4

Receive your account number

Your Rbcpay account number is issued automatically and stays with you for every transaction.

The four numbers you will see

Each one answers a different question, and they never change once issued.

Account number

RBP-CA-10000008
Identifies you. One per customer, issued once and never reused. Business accounts carry a BIZ segment.

Contract number

RBP-CTR-2026-008421
Identifies one deal. Everything attached to that deal, the parties, terms, documents, payment and delivery, hangs off this number.

Transaction ID

RBP-TX-20260829-18425
Identifies a single transaction inside a contract. A staged deal has several, a simple deal has one.

Case number

RBP-DSP-2026-000147
Identifies a dispute raised against a contract, so it can be tracked separately.

Your first transaction

The five steps are the same whichever side you are on. What changes is what you are responsible for.

What to have ready

Most first transactions stall on a missing detail rather than anything complicated. Having these to hand makes the first one straightforward.

Work out the fee first

The fee is shown to both parties before the transaction is funded, and who bears it is something you and the other party decide. The calculator shows the exact figures for buyer pays, seller pays and split.

Terms worth knowing

Transaction terms

The written record both parties accept before any money moves. It decides the outcome if anything is disputed later.

Inspection period

The agreed window in which the buyer checks what arrived. It starts from a documented delivery, not from dispatch.

Release condition

What has to be true before funds are released. Usually buyer approval, sometimes automatic after inspection, sometimes by milestone.

Milestone

A stage in a larger job with its own deliverable, value and approval, so payment follows completed work rather than a single handover.

Approved carrier

A carrier whose tracking and delivery confirmation both parties can verify independently.

Dispute

A formal issue raised before approval, with evidence, reviewed against the terms both parties accepted.

Common questions

Answers to what people ask most often.

Questions people ask on day one

No. Creating an account and receiving your Rbcpay account number costs nothing. A fee applies to a transaction, and who pays it is agreed by the two parties before the transaction is funded.
Because the other party is doing the same. Verification on both sides is what makes it far harder for anyone to operate anonymously, and it is a large part of why a stranger is willing to transact with you at all.
Yes. You can invite the other party by email when you create the transaction. They register, verify and join it before anything is funded.
Both parties, before payment. There is no single fixed length, because checking a domain transfer and checking a vehicle are not the same job. Agree it while you are still setting terms rather than after delivery.
Do not approve. Raise the issue inside the transaction before the inspection period closes, with your evidence. The outcome follows the terms both parties accepted at the start.
Yes. For services the deliverable, the acceptance standard and the review period are recorded the same way, and longer jobs can be split into milestones so payment follows completed work.
Your transaction record is visible to the parties to it and to Rbcpay. How information is collected, used, retained and shared is set out in full in the Privacy Policy.

Ready to set up your account?

Creating an account takes a few minutes and costs nothing. You can set up your first transaction as soon as both parties are verified.
Rbcpay is a marketplace transaction platform, not a bank, trustee or escrow agent. Account availability, verification requirements, payment methods and transaction procedures vary by jurisdiction and by transaction type.
